One in five teenagers in the U.S. seriously considers suicide annually, according to data collected by the CDC.

Does your teen believe that he is ‘useless’? Does he take himself as a looser, is he erratic, and makes so many mistakes? Well, He is like some one I know. This person was the most erratic I ever saw. He would loose his memory at times. It was common knowledge that he had low concentration in class, and did not interact much outside class. What eventually happened unknowingly, his teachers and parents put him under pressure to perform, not knowing that he was among the troubled teens. His step father had started abusing him in his third grade, he often felt that it was his fault that he had to go through what he was facing, and not being close to both teachers, and his mother, he had disappeared into himself.

His only friend was his desk mate at school and recently, it had begun to unearth that he too was getting gloomy. Eventually, one teacher took the bold step of talking to the two boys, at first with difficulty, later, she found out the truth. In the private boarding schools, the students were taught to be open to each other, but with the stresses of pursuing education, The boys had become concentrated only on passing exams, and the teachers had also gotten lost into grooming the pupils to pass examinations. The quick action of one teacher saved this teen from the abuse and torment he had to go through.

There are homes for troubled teens that rescue these teens and rehabilitate them. The work done by these homes is profound as each teen finds back his youth and creative niche. Summer camp for troubled teen also does a great help in changing the perspective of lost children and also refocusing those that are being disillusioned by events in their lives. As an ongoing process, these camps are the salvation of many families that are on the verge of breaking down.
